The Southern Regional
National Junior Tennis and Learning (NJTL) Tennis Leadership Camp took place in
Birmingham, Alabama from Thursday, 7/19/18, through Sunday, 7/22/18. We had 50
kids to participate from 6 states and their ages were from 11 years old to 16
years old. We would like to thank Samford University for allowing us to use
their tennis facility. Also we had seven of our kids (Difei Zhu, Taylor Craig,
Nigel Billings, Sedani Nagodawithana, Abeni Perkins, Jamiya Ivory and Nyla
Jones) to participate in this camp. We had a tennis shoot out and several
activities outside of tennis were scheduled. Thanks to Southern for allowing us
to have this event in Birmingham and thanks to our NJTL local committee that
helped put all the activities in place.
